Liverpool have had a £5.14m offer acknowledged for Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic, as per the Serbian club.
Grujic, 19, will stay at the Serbia club on advance before joining the Premier League side on 1 July 2016.
Liverpool beat offers from Anderlecht (£1.47m) and Stuttgart (£3.67m).
"The club's board viewed as the offers and collectively acknowledged Liverpool's offer to pay the cash quickly," said Red Star in an announcement.
It proceeded with: "Red Star earnestly need Marko Grujic to bear on playing in the club's pack for the following 10 years yet the money related circumstance of our club directs the reception of an alternate choice."
He has played 22 times for the Serbian association pioneers this season, scoring five objectives.
Jurgen Klopp's side are presently ninth in the Premier League and are winless in their last three games.
